•Dependingonthemodel,yourservermightlookslightlydifferentfromtheillustrationinthistopic.
ToinstalltheTSMPremium,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.If
theserverisintowerformfactor,laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage66.
4.Removethecoolingshroud.See“Removingthecoolingshroud”onpage69.
5.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheTSMPremiumtoanyunpaintedsurfaceonthe
outsideoftheserver.Then,taketheTSMPremiumoutofthepackage.
6.LocatetheTSMPremiumconnectoronthesystemboard,andtheninserttheTSMPremiumintothe
TSMPremiumconnector.EnsurethattheTSMPremiumissecurelyseatedonthesystemboard.
