26.Ifyouareinstructedtoreturntheoldsystemboard,followallpackaginginstructionsanduseany

packagingmaterialsthataresuppliedtoyouforshipping.

Theoldsystemboardmustbereturnedwithtwomicroprocessorsocketcoverstoprotectthepinsonthe

microprocessorsocketsduringshippingandhandling.Usethemicroprocessorsocketcoversremoved

fromthenewsystemboard.

Toinstallamicroprocessorsocketcoverontheoldsystemboard,dothefollowing:

1.Closethemicroprocessorretainer.Closethesmallhandle1ﬁrstandthenclosethesmallhandle

2.Ensurethattheretainerislockedintopositionandthenewmicroprocessorissecurelyseatedin

thesocket.

Note:Therearetwomarksonthemicroprocessorretainer.Ensurethatyouclosethesmallhandle

markedwith

ﬁrstandthenclosethesmallhandlemarkedwith.Alwaysfollowthecorrectsequence

whenyouclosethesmallhandles.
