•Ifyouremovetheintrusionswitch,youwillnotgetthewarningmessagewhenloggingintoyourserver
withthecoverremoved.
•Useanydocumentationthatcomeswiththeintrusionswitchandfollowthoseinstructionsinadditionto
theinstructionsinthistopic.
Toremovetheintrusionswitch,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage63.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage63.
4.Locatetheintrusionswitchanddisconnectthecablefromthesystemboard.
5.Pressthetab1outwardandlifttheintrusionswitchoutofthesocket.
