Iftheproductdoesnotfunctionaswarrantedduringthewarrantyperiod,youmay
obtainwarrantyservicebycontactingLenovooraLenovoapprovedService
Provider.AlistofapprovedServiceProvidersandtheirtelephonenumbersis
availableat:www.lenovo.com/support/phone.
Warrantyservicemaynotbeavailableinalllocationsandmaydifferfromlocation
tolocation.ChargesmayapplyoutsideaServiceProvider’snormalservicearea.
ContactalocalServiceProviderforinformationspecifictoyourlocation.
CustomerResponsibilitiesforWarrantyService
Beforewarrantyserviceisprovided,youmusttakethefollowingsteps:
•followtheservicerequestproceduresspecifiedbytheServiceProvider;
•backuporsecureallprogramsanddatacontainedintheproduct;
•providetheServiceProviderwithallsystemkeysorpasswords;
•providetheServiceProviderwithsufficient,free,andsafeaccesstoyour
facilitiestoperformservice;
•removealldata,includingconfidentialinformation,proprietaryinformationand
personalinformation,fromtheproductor,ifyouareunabletoremoveanysuch
information,modifytheinformationtopreventitsaccessbyanotherpartyor
sothatitisnotpersonaldataunderapplicablelaw.TheServiceProvidershall
notberesponsibleforthelossordisclosureofanydata,includingconfidential
information,proprietaryinformation,orpersonalinformation,onaproduct
returnedoraccessedforwarrantyservice;
•removeallfeatures,parts,options,alterations,andattachmentsnotcovered
bythewarranty;
•ensurethattheproductorpartisfreeofanylegalrestrictionsthatprevent
itsreplacement;
•ifyouarenottheownerofaproductorpart,obtainauthorizationfromthe
ownerfortheServiceProvidertoprovidewarrantyservice.
WhatYourServiceProviderWillDotoCorrectProblems
WhenyoucontactaServiceProvider,youmustfollowthespecifiedproblem
determinationandresolutionprocedures.
TheServiceProviderwillattempttodiagnoseandresolveyourproblemby
telephone,e-mailorremoteassistance.TheServiceProvidermaydirectyouto
downloadandinstalldesignatedsoftwareupdates.
Someproblemsmayberesolvedwithareplacementpartthatyouinstallyourself
calleda“CustomerReplaceableUnit”or“CRU.”Ifso,theServiceProviderwill
shiptheCRUtoyouforyoutoinstall.
Ifyourproblemcannotberesolvedoverthetelephone;throughtheapplicationof
softwareupdatesortheinstallationofaCRU,theServiceProviderwillarrangefor
