TheUpdateOptioncanbefoundintheUpdateCommonHardwarePassworddialogbox.Thishas

threeoptions:

1.ApplytoServerSettingonly-Thisoptionwillcauseonlythepolicyontheservertobeupdated.Only

newlyregisteredHardwarePasswordManagerdeviceswillbeaffected.

2.GenerateRemoteActionsonly-Thisoptionwillgenerateremoteactionstoapplythepolicychanges

totheselectedcomputers.Thedefaultclientpolicywillnotchange.SonewlyregisteredHardware

PasswordManagerdeviceswillnotbeaffected.

3.Both(Default)-ThisoptionwillaffecttheselectedcomputersaswellasanynewlyregisteredHardware

PasswordManagerdevices.

Updatingtheemergencyaccount

EachLenovoHardwarePasswordManagerdevicehasanemergencyaccessaccountthatcanbeusedto

logintothedeviceiftheuserisunabletologin.Youcanchangethecredentialsforthisaccountandapply

thechangetoallHardwarePasswordManagerdeviceswiththeUpdateEmergencyAccountremoteaction.

Bydefault,theusernameisadminandthepasswordisuniquelygeneratedforeachclient.Youcanchange

theusername,password,orboth.Ifyouspecifyausernamebutleavethepasswordeldblank,aunique

passwordwillbegeneratedforeachdevice.Ifyouhavemadechangesandwanttoreturntothedefault,

clickResettoDefault.

ToviewthecurrentemergencyaccountcredentialsforaHardwarePasswordManagerdevicethathasbeen

targetedbytheremoteaction:
